Brit Awards 2005
Brits 25: Gossip form the red carpet
Last updated 09 February 2005

Gwen Stefani

The stars started arriving on the red carpet at about 5pm today (Wednesday) - you can see the pictures here.

Jake Shears from the Scissor Sisters and Gwen Stefani didn't disappoint fans as they both turned up in characteristically flamboyant outfits.

Jack and Ana from the Scissor Sisters

Jake went for a a gold leather outfit with cowboy boots, while Gwen went for big hair and big shoes, and a gaggle of silent Chinese girls, much like her video for 'What You Waiting For'.

Kelly and Sharon Osbourne

Our reporter Kevin Geoghegan was on the red carpet and was speaking to Sharon and Kelly Osbourne when Gwen came over to give them a hug and told Kelly that she looked like "a little doll".

McFly

McFly made an effort for the event, and ditched their jeans in favour of some very smart suits.

Tom and Danny from the band seemed pretty overwhelmed by the whole event, as they explained:

"We're just excited and very happy to be here."

"Green Day are a couple of people up from us and we're pretty star-struck."

"The weirdest thing is to stand in front of about fifty people who are all shouting at you and flashing cameras."

Joss Stone on the red carpet

Joss Stone, who was wearing a long black dress and sparkly shoes, confirmed which male star she's teaming up with for a duet with:

"I am performing with Robbie - he's so nice!"

"He just asked me out of the blue, and you don't really say no to Robbie on a regular basis!"

"I said it was cool, and he's really fun to sing with and a really cool guy."
