Brit Awards 2005
Brits25 Preview - Keane are keen to see U2
Last updated 09 February 2005

Keane

Keane, who are also playing, are massive U2 fans and are hoping they'll have enough courage to strike up a conversation if the band go to Brits25.

Although they won't be able to rely on Dutch courage, they've got to stay sober:

"We get too scared. U2 are playing I think and that would be a real dream to meet them, and chat with them because they're idols of ours."

"Unfortunately our playing becomes so appalling when we're drunk that we have to ban it before playing. But afterwards I think there might be a few ales being sunk."

There's no confirmation that U2 will be at the Brits although rumours are that Bono may join Sir Bob Geldof in the finale, when he gets a Lifetime Achievement.
