Amy Whelan

Amy is a lawyer at a Seattle law firm and has been happily married to Jack for over 10 years, seeing him through his difficult past into a new life. She abruptly vanishes without warning and just as abruptly reappears. It’s quickly clear that her behaviour is increasingly out of character and erratic. As Jack’s concerns grow, Amy continues to pull away from him, seemingly driven by her own agenda. With their marriage unraveling, the past threatens to engulf Amy and take her from Jack forever.

About Mira Sorvino

Mira Sorvino won the Academy Award, the Golden Globe Award, the Critics' Choice Award, and the National Board of Review and New York Film Critics Circle citations, among other honours, for her performance in Woody Allen's Mighty Aphrodite.

She was a Golden Globe Award nominee for her performance in Christian Duguay's miniseries Human Trafficking; and had previously been nominated for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in Tim Fywell's Norma Jean and Marilyn, which also earned her an Emmy Award nomination.

Sorvino most recently starred in the critically acclaimed Union Square directed by Nancy Savoka and Trade Of innocents by Christopher Bessette. Other recent credits include NBC miniseries The Last Templar, Like Dandelion Dust, Multiple Sarcasms, Waska, Terry George's Reservation Road, Robert Redford's Quiz Show and Spike Lee's Summer of Sam.

Onstage, Sorvino has appeared in Joyce Carol Oates' Greensleeves; in Best of Schools and off-Broadway in the Classic Stage Company's adaptation of Naked, among other productions.
