Cassie Newland
Cassie Newland is an archaeologist who specializes in the modern world.
From Rococo grottoes to Transit vans, mobile phones to machine guns, holiday camps to military bunkers, Cassie loves all the things that make us, us. Fascinated by the industrial, she is particularly obsessed with telecommunications technologies and how they changed our world!
Cassie is Research Associate at King's College London and a Visiting Fellow at the University of Bristol. She is currently researching Victorian Junk Mail and the Transatlantic Telegraph Cable. A lifelong tinkerer Cassie always has to have a silly project on the go. At the moment she's building her own house.
