Marlene

Marlene grew up in Nigeria, but while she enjoyed styling hair from a young age, her family pressured her to pursue another career. She ended up working in banking in New York, but felt it stifled her creativity so she returned to the UK and now works part time as a mobile hairdresser (and rents a chair in a local salon). A mum to a young son, Marlene says cutting European hair would be her biggest challenge.
