Having previously worked as a mechanic and a youth worker he started in hair by learning basic plaits and braids so his daughter Skye "didn't have scruffy hair for school".

After his friend urged him to pursue it, he enrolled on a course at a local adult education college and wants to set up a business styling hair at festivals.
