Stefan began learning the piano when he was aged seven and then moved onto percussion when he was 12. He has wanted to become a professional orchestral percussionist ever since. Stefan is also a keen drum kit player, and he was awarded the Trinity Exhibition award for the highest Grade 8 score. He also arranges piano, chamber and symphonic music for percussion, and writes his own original compositions.
