Neil Rankin
At 25 Neil founded and operated a cafe chain with outlets in both Scotland and England.
He has cooked in fine dining kitchens under Michael Wignall at the Latymer Pennyhill Park, Rhodes 24 and Chez Bruce. He went on to work at Barbecoa, the restaurant which saw Jamie Oliver team up with Adam Perry Lang. This is where his love for charcoal cooking began.
Neil is a classic chef who has pioneered high end barbeque cooking. He was formerly head chef at Pitt Cue and John Salt and opened his new venture, Smokehouse, in autumn 2013.
Neil’s menu showcases how far British produce has progressed since rationing ended.
