Angela's selfie

Angela is an exciting new presenting talent, cited by British Vogue and The Observer as the new onscreen face to watch, making waves for her direct, no-nonsense approach and wicked sense of humour. The redhead bounced onto screens in 2013 with her first major documentary Oi Ginger! which explored the notion of stereotypes, getting critical acclaim and trending worldwide on Twitter. This led to a successful four part series, Angela Scanlon - Full Frontal, which aired late 2014, and the BBC/RTE travel programme Getaways, which aired in January 2015.
Join us in high-fiving our new ginger beauty and welcome Angela to the Voice presenting team!
Quick-fire with Angela
Daily motto: "Get out of bed and aim to get dressed at least once."
Most embarrassing moment: "Back in the day when I was Irish dancing I was performing, wearing the obligatory curly wig, it fell off while I was on stage! Hot! The worst part was I had stuffed it with loo roll for extra volume so the trail of tissue followed me as I twirled off stage. Sexy!"
Party trick: "I can cross one eye while holding the other deathly still. It's also an amazing repellent for creeps in bars."
What is your favourite unusual food combination? "Salt and sweet; I enjoy honey and olive oil on toast."
Superstitions: "I tend to knock on my head regularly to prevent things from happening and I loathe to walk under a ladder. It freaks me out."
What did you want to be when you were little? "A 1950s air hostess. I found it ridiculously glam..."
