Mark Forrest
Mark Forrest is a British radio presenter renowned for his versatile career spanning over three decades.
Raised in Beverley, East Yorkshire, he studied mathematics at Newcastle University before embarking on a broadcasting journey that began at Radio Tees. His extensive experience includes roles at Virgin Radio, Heart, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio York, and Classic FM, where he hosted the drivetime and breakfast shows.
In 2013, Mark became the host of BBC Local Radio’s all-local evening programme, which aired across England and the Channel Islands. He returned to BBC Radio 3 in 2024, and now presents programmes such as Radio 3 in Concert, Classical Live and Sunday Breakfast.
Beyond broadcasting, Mark works on his husband’s sheep farm in the Yorkshire Dales and enjoys running in the surrounding hills.
