Edward James Olmos is an actor who played William Adama in the reimagined Battlestar Galactica and Detective Gaff in Blade Runner.

The character of Bill Adama is a dutiful, prideful protector of the last survivors of the human race. In Blade Runner Adama created Detective Gaff - a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual character armed with a vocabulary of his own known as “city-speak”.
