Bill Oddie
A birdwatcher since his childhood in Birmingham, Oddie has now established a reputation as an ornithologist, conservationist and popular television presenter on wildlife issues.
A keen active conservationist, Bill is currently a council member of the RSPB, the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and The Worldwide Fund for Nature. He’s also the president of The Northumberland Wildlife Trust and represents many other nature organisations.
Much of Bill’s time is taken up with filming wildfire programmes. After the success of the BBC series Birding with Bill Oddie, he’s become a regular and much loved presenter on Springwatch and Autumnwatch.
In recent years, Bill has ventured into the world of literacy, having written several books on birds and other wildlife topics.
