Shop Front Heroes are a five piece rock outfit hailing from the Herefordshire/Wales borderlands.
The band take in musical influences from right across the rock style including Queen, Nirvana and Blur and say their mission is to save the genre.
The band also pride themselves on where they come from; Frontman and songwriter Stevie Yeomans also teaches singing at the school he went to as a youngster and hosts various open mics in the area.
“Absolutely smashed it with a raw energy and passion leaving the audience transfixed" - Andrew Marston.

On tour

We catch up with Ross-on-Wye musician Michael D Wynn, who's currently on tour in Amsterdam.
So far this year, he's played shows in Barcelona, Rome, Paris and Berlin - with more European dates to come.
Mike now writes electronica music, but began in bands such as Labels, Flat Pack Heroes and We Shall Meet In The Place Where There Is No Darkness - receiving rave reviews from Radio 1's Huw Stephens.

BBC Music Introducing at Latitude

BBC Music Introducing headed to Latitude Festival once again this year!
Based in Henham Park in Suffolk, for the third year running Latitude had a dedicated Introducing stage, where festival-goers were able to enjoy live new music in the beautiful surroundings of the woods.
Our 2018 line-up showcased some of the UK's freshest and most exciting musicians.
The stage was hosted by an array of BBC presenters including Radio 3's Max Reinhardt (Late Junction) and Suzy Klein, as well as 6 Music's Tom Robinson and Radio 2's Zoe Ball (who broadcast live from the stage on the Saturday).

This was their eighth annual event, featuring tonnes of local bands.
This year they extended the festival to three days - so on the Sunday, we were there hosting a stage dedicated to Herefordshire and Worcestershire artists chosen from the BBC Music Introducing Uploader.

Musicians' Masterclass

It was the biggest new music business gathering to ever to be held in the UK, with more than 100 sessions and 250 speakers ensuring every aspect of the music business was covered.
Held across three days, Amplify offered exclusive access to the UK music industry’s biggest names through intimate talks, music masterclasses and recording workshops.
This week, we talk about the songwriting and signing process with Frank Carter, who began his career as a rock singer in Gallows in 2005.
Two years later, he released his first studio album after signing a £1m deal with Warner Bros Records.
Frank eventually left the band, after the deal ended, going on to form Pure Love (who went on hiatus) so created Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes.
In 2015, they released their debut album and have taken the festival circuit by storm.
