The Labels were a four-piece band from Hereford who liked to play clattery, dancey British punk rock. That was until they finished their education and decided to get 'proper jobs'. In December 2006, the guys decided to 'call it a day', and dispersed all over the UK - and two of them headed to the home of the Artic Monkeys - Sheffield. During their rein of the local music scene, The Labels were lucky enough to be one of the first ever bands featured on the Friday Session, had articles written about them in NME and were even plugged on Teletext! And if you don't believe me, check this out for size... Help playing audio/video ![]() The Labels NME: "A slice of clattery, dancey, British punk rock, fully-equipped with epic stage invasions and proper pop choruses." James Jam, NME New Music Editor: "A damn good band, sound like they've just discovered punk rock and simply enjoy making a bloody good racket." Teletext New Indie Demo Reviews: "An elusive and unpredictable talent... harder to pigeonhole than a band with that name should be... with the spirit and anger of original punk, truncating their fire into a 2 minute yell that also has Levellers' rabble rousing ability... buzzing guitars, which Bloc Party would admire." You can listen to all the latest music from across the two counties on the Friday Session, every week from 7pm, on BBC Hereford & Worcester.last updated: 16/01/2009 at 23:02 Have Your SayDid you ever go to one of The Labels' gigs, what did you think of their music?
