Did Food Waste Make Bears Kill Humans?
In 1972, Arthur Walker was killed by a grizzly bear in Yellowstone National Park in the USA. His death was subsequently blamed on a failed wildlife management scheme. Jordan Fisher Smith who spent 21 years as a park ranger explains how the sudden removal of food waste dumps from national parks forced bears to come into conflict with humans.
