Fairfield Halls closure?

The idea is to spend £12m on a revamp of Fairfield Halls in Croydon.
But in order to do that, the local council wants to shut the theatre completely during its refurbishment.
BBC Surrey reporter Clare Cowan has been to meet the venue’s chief executive, Simon Thomsett.
He’s worried that audiences will forget about them if a temporary closure goes ahead.
