Following confirmation of coronavirus in four members of the same family in the Haslemere area, the interim public health director for Surrey County Council, Ruth Hutchinson, assessed the risk for most of the local population as "low". She said: “you should go about your normal business, continue to go to school, continue to go to work.” She also explained the process for tracing contacts of the four who have tested positive.
