Jesse Norman: "No allegations were made"
Jesse Norman, Chair of the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee, has denied implicating marathon runner Paula Radcliffe in a doping allegations during a committee hearing.
"Nothing could be further from the intention of the committee than to name any athlete," he said.
Norman blamed the media for making the most of a quote to get a reaction from Radcliffe
"The press pack.. have basically taken this single snippet and run off to Paula Radcliffe and attempted to bounce her into some kind of statement," he added.
