Despite having played music together whilst growing up, brothers Chris & Nick Johnson had been ploughing their own individual musical furrows in a variety of bands over the years around Redditch (Chris) and London (Nick).
2012 finally saw them collaborate properly on original material and they continue to write and record together.

Pro-ject Rave

A group of Worcester clubbers are taking over a local car park tonight and are promising "the biggest house music event the city has ever seen".
'Pro-ject' - who last year bought their own warehouse and staged 13 sell-out events - have now sold their Sheriff Street venue and are in the process of buying a new site.
In recent weeks, the team behind the venture have put on shows at Ministry Of Sound in London and taken their night to the Ibiza Rocks Hotel in San Antonio.
Tonight's event will see Doorly on a festival main stage, fire FX, CO2 cannons and a fireworks display with a second stage being run a Birmingham promotions company.

- In the gig guide: There's live music in a Worcestershire nature reserve.
Colwall Family Music Festival

Since 2014, the organisers have made it their mission to raise funds for The British Heart Foundation.
The event is run by Neil Collins who owns a sound and lighting hire company and was the man behind Re-Con in Great Malvern.

New album

A Malvern singer/songwriter has just launched her ninth studio album...in Jersey!
Carol Lee Sampson returned to her childhood home to release 'The Key', which she says has been spiritually challenging.
As well as gigging regularly, Carol can often be seen with her guitar (and dog Harry) performing to those in dementia units and care homes.
One of the tracks from the album, which was written after the death of her best friend, has so far raised over £1400 for Cancer Research UK.

BBC Introducing in Hereford & Worcester stage at the Worcester Music Festival

Our next recording session takes place at Drummonds in Worcester, on Sunday 20 September from 2pm, as part of this year's Worcester Music Festival.
The event has been compared to a local version of SXSW with several pubs and clubs around the city hosting live music with song-writing workshops also taking place during the weekend.
It was founded in 2008 by Chris Bennion who makes Worcestershire Sauce who wanted his area to be known for more than just Lea & Perrins.
