In session

Alex Valentine is a singer/songwriter, originally from Camden, now living near Hay-on-Wye.
He’s released six albums on his own record label, Stuck Dumb Records, and has performed eight years in a row at the Hay Festival.
Alex has also been approached by the producers of The Voice with a view to getting him onto BBC1 to follow in the footsteps of our other local star, Bewdley’s Becky Hill.

1 - 3 August: Nozstock - The Hidden Valley nr Bromyard

It's count down to Herefordshire's largest music festival - and this year it's being transformed into a Jurassic Farm in preparation for the 2014 line up.
Nozstock is very much a family affair, that started out as a small barbeque some 16 years ago.
With ten stages and dozens of acts, covering 60 acres over three days, it takes some sort of organising before thousands can flood through the gates just outside Bromyard.
Our reporter Julie Tyler has been to check out if it's all running to time...

Keeping it Bromyard

The Misers, who hail from the town, played for us on the BBC Hereford & Worcester stage at the Wychwood Festival.
We'll be hearing a couple of exclusive live tracks from them.
Plus we'll be talking to Neil Ivison, from the band, about life on the road with indie popstars The 1975 as he looks after all of the technical bits at their gigs.
We find out how a bloke from Bromyard ended up going around the world with them.

The Wychwood Festival

This year the Wychwood Festival on Cheltenham Racecourse celebrated its 10th anniversary - and once again BBC Hereford & Worcester was there!
We took over the BBC tent, on the Friday, and showcased some of our favourite acts in the area right now - including Sasha McVeigh, Virgil & The Accelerators, Olly Gardiner, The Misers, Jasper In The Company Of Others, Boy & Bicycle, Steve Attridge & The Sleeping Giants, Dave Onions and The Stiff Joints.
A variety of these sessions will be broadcast throughout June and the early part of July here on the Introducing show.

Vault Of Eagles

Kidderminster Town Hall has one of the richest histories for a music venue in our region.
This week, our reporter Kalpana Boodhoo went to meet James Dellin and local band Vault of Eagles, who hold the venue close to their hearts, to find out about efforts to bring the venue back to its prime.

The Droitwich Festival

All of this month, we're bringing you tracks we recorded at this year's Droitwich Spa Festival.
We were there on the opening weekend welcoming acts such as Alex Valentine, Ellen Louise, Natalie Hall and Richard Farmer.
This event is now in its 11th year and new for this year - they had music at the Lido over three weekends and a Picnic In The Park.

The BBC Hereford & Worcester stage at the Nozstock Festival

BBC Introducing in Hereford & Worcester supports unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar musicians from Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Since 2011, we've been taking the show out on-the-road showcasing the very best musicians from our two counties.
Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 3 August at The Nozstock Festival and features four acts who we've been playing on BBC Hereford & Worcester recently.
This is your chance to see how we capture live music on tape, while being able to enjoy some of the hottest new acts we've got in our area right now.
None of these artists knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded to us.
