Gemma Cairney is on a journey to discover what happens when she brings together two artists from two different countries to combine their talents to make a new piece of music. In this episode, she takes singer-songwriter and actress Charlotte Church to Kutaisi in Georgia, to learn about Georgian polyphonic singing. Fascinated by the sound since coming across a recording online Charlotte teams up with a polyphonic male choir in this ancient city to see what happens when she combines her classical training with the multi-layered vocal ranges that define the tradition.
