An escalating ground and air war in Yemen - against Iranian-backed Houthi rebels - has brought the country to the point of collapse. Millions of people are in danger. A coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, is carrying out air strikes to try to drive the rebels out of the capital Sana'a. Human rights organisations say the air strikes have targeted civilians and could constitute war crimes. The war, including a blockade of ports, has caused chronic shortages of food, water, fuel and medicine. Amid this chaos, Al Qaeda and Islamic State are building their presence.
