Our transport systems and how we move people around the planet by car, bus, train and plane need to evolve and become a lot smarter, especially with billions more people on the planet. The prospect of global gridlock where our vehicles snake into the horizon is possible if the number of cars globally doubles in the decade ahead. We need a revolution in how we travel if we are to avoid what's being called 'Carmageddon'.
