The Parables of Jesus: The Prodigal Son

Sean Fletcher meets Christians inspired by Jesus’ parables, exploring the profound meaning in the stories of the Lost Sheep, the Lost Coin and, most famously, the Prodigal Son.

Sean unpacks the profound meaning of these short stories with the archdeacon of Bolton and Salford, Rachel Mann, at Bolton Parish Church, before meeting Will Jackson, whose own journey back to faith mirrors the themes of Jesus’ parables.

In Nottingham, Tom Stevens shares his experience of finding faith after a breakdown and how the portrayal of God’s love shown in the parable of the Lost Sheep changed his life.

With hymns that sing of forgiveness, reconciliation, and the unconditional grace of God:

1. After All – House on the Rock, London
2. There’s a Wideness in God’s Mercy – St Hilary, Penzance
3. When I Survey the Wondrous Cross – Gas Street Church, Birmingham
4. Come to Jesus – Guildhall, Londonderry
5. Lord of the Dance – Christ Church, Oxton, Birkenhead
