Join Roo Irvine in the Scottish Borders as she explores highlights of Scotland’s forgotten history. In Galashiels, she visits the Great Tapestry of Scotland, a 143-metre-long artwork made of 160 embroidered panels, created by more than a thousand voluntary stitchers.

In nearby Kelso, two mum-and-daughter duos hope to sew up a win at a bustling antiques fair. In red are Carol and Sarah from Newcastle, who hope their Geordie charm will help them to win over the dealers. In blue are Alison and Jenny, who are taking a more diplomatic approach to their shopping.
