Bestselling author Val McDermid on her new books: Winter, a striking and personal meditation on the season, and Silent Bones, the latest novel featuring cold-case detective Karen Pirie.

Director and producer Kevin Jannetts chats about putting on a version of Dickens’s A Christmas Carol as a 1950s radio play, which has become something of a festive tradition for many loyal audience members. It's touring this month.

And this week, there will be two concerts taking place in Glasgow Cathedral to mark the re-dedication of an ancient well connected with the very beginnings of the city itself, which has been re-excavated and fitted with a stunning shimmering new artwork. Director of Aproxima Arts, Angus Farquar, and composer and performer Claire M Singer join Len.
