Scammers used our street to open fake accounts

In the first of five special episodes for BBC Scam Safe week, the team investigate the fake bank accounts all registered in one Cheshire street and ask whether the bank responsible does enough to stop scammers opening accounts. Also on the programme, the woman who received a £600 high-end smartphone as a gift, only to discover it was counterfeit – and the online retail giant that wouldn’t refund her.
