Cerys explores how sound shapes taste and mood with chefs, scientists and music psychologists in a sensory special blending theory, emotion, and immersive soundscapes.

Cerys leads a sensory journey into how sound shapes taste, mood and behaviour. With insights from experimental psychologist Professor Charles Spence, music psychologist Dr Adrian North, and chef Paul Pairet, founder of the now-closed multi-sensory restaurant Ultraviolet, the show blends science, emotion and creativity.

Expect immersive soundscapes from bustling food markets and neon-lit convenience stores, alongside themed music that stirs memory, alters flavour, and transforms the way we eat. From pitch and tempo to ritual and rhythm, this special explores the psychology of dining, the science of sonic seasoning, and the art of multi-sensory cooking. A feast for the ears and imagination, with music and storytelling that bring flavour to life.
