Vienna Philharmonic: Spring in Paris

Sir Bryn Terfel, Juan Diego Florez and Yuja Wang are among the guests in a star-studded gala featuring the music of Bizet and Ravel to mark the 150th anniversary of Palais Garnier.

The Vienna Philharmonic present a star-studded evening in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the world-famous opera house Palais Garnier in Paris.

Featuring some of the biggest names in opera - bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel, tenors Juan Diego Flórez and Rolando Villazón, and soprano Sonya Yoncheva - this special concert is full of classical treats, with music from Bizet’s Carmen, Verdi’s La Traviata and more. Completing the line-up is the ever-charismatic pianist Yuja Wang, with a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No 1.

The concert is conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin, music director of the Metropolitan Opera, New York.
