Able Child
Able Child works toward a world in which no child with a disability is left behind. We support a network of African organisations to protect, educate and amplify the voices of children and young people with disabilities. Together, we work across Africa, breaking down barriers to inclusion so that children with disabilities are able to thrive.
Malaika’s story

10-year-old Malaika from Kenya has cerebral palsy and was given support by Able Child so that she could access inclusive education. She was also given leg braces and a walking frame to break down some of the barriers preventing her going to school.
Making long lasting change

For 40 years we have been improving the lives and opportunities for children with disabilities in Africa. We work across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe, delivering programmes with local organisations.
Supporting children with disabilities

Your support will enable children with disabilities to access education and responsible healthcare. It could provide them with essential items like wheelchairs and hearing aids, so they are able to attend schools that support their needs and learning.
