Bees for Development
Bees for Development is a global charity which makes lives better for people living in some of the world’s poorest communities with the help of bees. It promotes sustainable beekeeping to combat poverty, build resilient livelihoods and promote biodiversity.
Why bees matter

Molla’s family live in Africa and rely on honey sales for earnings to sustain their farm, purchase seeds and pay for essentials like food and medicines. However, pesticide use was endangering their crops and bees putting their future at risk.
Protecting livelihoods through education

Molla joined Bees for Development’s Farmer Field School to learn about nature-based farming. He discovered how to boost insect predators by using a natural food spray of sugars and maize flour. Now his bees, crops and family are thriving again.
Your donation changes lives

£40 helps towards training a farmer in Ethiopia to reduce pesticide use through sustainable farming. Up to a total of £10,000 will be match funded by a generous donor. Donate now to double your impact.
