Donna Hay shows how to master the basics with a touch of brilliance with her ricotta and tomato gnocchi – although a gnudi and gnocchi debate ensues between Donna and Donal Skehan.

The dynamic duo of Jack Croft and Will Murray make their triple-cooked chicken wings coated in a Sichuan glaze, before Georgina Hayden rustles up a comforting squash and harrisa filo pie served with whipped feta.

Rachel Allen makes a prawn and spicy sausage gumbo that turns out not to be a gumbo at all. But it is incredibly delicious and served with an amazing chilli cornbread.

And Sir Lenny Henry faces either his food heaven, Caribbean salt fish and bake, or his food hell, Goan prawn and okra curry.
