Cari is involved in the discovery of a huge cannabis farm in Newport, Emma-Marie takes charge at the scene of a van fire, and Sophie unexpectedly helps rescue two dumped dogs.
Ex-pharmacy assistant Cari is just two weeks into life as a cop when she is involved in a drugs bust. A disused department store in the middle of Newport city centre has been turned into a huge cannabis farm, and three males have been seen running from the scene. Specialist officers estimate the building is holding as many as 1,500 plants.
Emma-Marie is juggling the pressures of being a rookie officer with her love of amateur dramatics. But practice for her lead role in The Rocky Horror Picture Show is put on hold when a van containing gas canisters goes up in flames on a busy road in rush hour traffic.
And a call-out for Sophie and her tutor Sal to help a blocked car at the local dog rescue centre takes a twist when they discover two abandoned dogs in a cage, which have just been dumped on the road.
