Saskia takes her first statement from a young woman reporting sexual offences, Alex searches for a man trying to avoid arrest, and they both help colleagues at a brawl.
The pressure is on for 24-year-old Saskia. At 5ft 1in 'and a bit', she feels she has a lot to prove, but she is determined to show that looks can be deceiving. Just a week into the job, Saskia faces taking her first statement from a young woman who has been subject to frightening sexual harassment in a car park. Saskia hopes that talking to another young woman will help put her at ease.
Alex worked as a postman for 16 years before joining Gwent Police as a rookie cop. His two young daughters wonder why he has stopped wearing shorts to work - but they do like his high-vis jacket. Alex and tutor Nikhita are called to help a man who is acting strangely near the hospital.
Just as both Saskia and Alex are coming to the end of their shifts, an emergency assistance call comes in. A mass brawl has broken out in Pontypool, and every officer available must get there as quickly as possible. Alex and Saskia race to help colleagues who are outnumbered and need to get the situation back under control.
