Raising Futures Kenya

Young people in Kenya want to become self-reliant, live free from poverty and safe from exploitation. Raising Futures Kenya funds training centres that offer young people, particularly young women, free access to vocational and business skills courses, counselling and practical support. Over 90% of young graduates of these courses go on to secure a job, start a business or access further training.

Linet's story
Linet was orphaned at 11, later becoming mother to twins following sexual abuse. Raising Futures Kenya provided her with counselling, alongside their Fashion and Fabric Design course, to become an independent business woman, able to support her family.

Supporting young women to access training

Supporting young women to access training
Raising Futures Kenya provides free food, packs of period pads, childcare vouchers, and support in response to the individual needs of young women who have missed out on education, so that nothing stands in the way of their learning.

Enabling young people have brighter futures

Enabling young people have brighter futures
Vocational and business skills training opportunities, alongside wellbeing support, life skills and mentorship, equip young people with hope, confidence, knowledge of their rights, income-generating skills and opportunities for a brighter future.
