Edward, an artificial human being who has remained unfinished since his creator suddenly died, leaving him with scissors for hands, is discovered by a kindly suburban housewife.

Edward is an artificial human being who has remained unfinished since his creator suddenly died, leaving him with scissors for hands. Having spent most of his life in isolation, he is discovered by kindly suburban housewife Peg, who takes him into her home and introduces him to her family. Here, Edward tries to adjust to normal life and falls for Peg's teenage daughter Kim.
