Christmas Day Special
Gary West invites you to join him for a piping hot Christmas with a programme of more session highlights from 2021 and a liberal dusting of festive cheer.
As you begin to wind down on Christmas evening, Gary West invites you to join him for some more reflections on the piping highlights of 2021, with sets from Jack Lee, Stuart Liddell, the Johnstone Pipe Band, the Chris Gray Trio and some cracking tunes from a collaboration featuring Tryst and the Kinnaris Quintet. There's plenty of Christmas cheer too, with seasonal offerings from the Chieftains and the Red Hot Chilli Pipers as well as an eighteenth century carol from Russia given a modern twist by musicians from Scotland, Switzerland and Bulgaria. Listen out for festive messages from some of the world's leading players, and Gary is even threatening to get the pipes out for a tune or two himself! Will he dare?
