The Social Mobility Foundation
The Social Mobility Foundation is a national charity that aims to accelerate social mobility in the UK. We help thousands of young people from low-income backgrounds enter universities and professions through mentoring, internships, university application support and skills development.
Supporting professional development

Our skills sessions and professional mentors give students on our programme tailored support to help them with their university applications and the advice and confidence they need to enter professional life.
Gaining experience

In collaboration with our employer partners, we support students into employment by offering work placements and internships with leading organisations; helping to give them access to the networks that get them that vital foot in the door.
Campaigning for change

During Covid-19 while schools were closed, we campaigned to get laptops in the hands of students, ensuring young people without technology access could continue to learn and attend work experience and internships. We secured over 2,000.
