Adam struggles with the consequences of his actions and Lynda does some digging.

Joy arrives early for her interview with Lynda, and flatters Lynda’s garden while trying to tempt her with the butterfly buns she’s brought. As Lynda lists the qualities required to be an effective committee member, Joy gently steers the conversation round to her own agenda. Before she knows it Lynda’s acknowledging Joy’s formidable fundraising experience. She agrees she’ll take a chance on Joy – she can join the committee as a quiet observer for now. Joy can’t wait.
Lee’s after some clamps from distracted Adam – he’s attempting to dampen the sound of his practising on the drumkit. As he chats Adam can’t keep a lid on his irritation and explodes, then immediately apologises. He recounts the argument he’s had with Brian over the missing farm money, which Brian’s virtually accused him of stealing. He explains he’d only borrowed it to pay for the electrical work at the cottage. He admits he’d let a request for an advance on partnership drawings slide, but he’s unhappy at Brian’s attitude. He never blows up at the other siblings like he does at Adam. Adam begs Lee not to tell anyone, particularly Ian, whose been anxious about money and thinks it’s sorted. Adam‘s going to let Brian stew for now, but Lee reckons letting things fester will make them worse. If he was Adam, he’d put the money back as soon as possible, and apologise to Brian. If he makes things right between them, they might both be able to move on.
