Ruth feels hurt, and Emma causes tension.

Toby's immersed in another baby book when Nic bumps into him and gives him some helpful advice: when she was pregnant with Jake and Mia she was preoccupied with the next steps rather than being in the present moment, when she had Poppy she was determined to enjoy the pregnancy and she did.

Later, at Pip's scan Pip is feeling on edge about how much work she's got to catch up on at Brookfield; besides she feels like a fraud, she's not sick anymore and her tummy's not very big and yet all these people keep fussing over her. Remarkably Toby says the right thing recanting Nic's advice, Pip feels a bit better and even agrees to go along to an aquafit session he got her so long as it will shut him up.

Emma's frosty with Nic refusing to babysit for her and Will even though it's Will's birthday. Emma suggests Nic might be better asking Jennifer to babysit since Will and the Aldridges are such good friends. Nic tells Emma that she doesn't know the truth about the contamination no-one does but for Emma it's clearly come from Home Farm.

Joe tells Nic that friends bicker and fall out but they always come back together just look at Will and Ed, soon her and Emma will be right again.
