Jennifer is left disappointed, and Kirsty receives an unexpected request.
Shula's out of sorts at the Bull's pub quiz. Alistair on the other hand is determined to win even Rex and Anisha dropping out isn't enough to dampen his spirits. He seizes the opportunity to draft Philip Moss in but even then they're still short. Luckily, Philip spots Kirsty across the bar and tells her she owes him for being so mean at the public meeting. The four of them have to beat Lily and Josh especially now they've teamed up with Jim and Jazzer, the competition is on!
Sunday lunch at Home Farm and Brian is distracted. Jennifer tells him not to dwell on things. She thinks if the contractors can date the drums they'll be able to work out who dumped what when and prove Brian wasn't involved but Brian changes the subject. Anyway, Borsetshire's Businessperson of the Year is tomorrow and Jennifer can't wait, she's got the most gorgeous pair of shoes.
'The Oldies' as Alistair has named them have done badly but at least Kirsty and Philip are getting on well, turns out they have lots in common. By the end of the evening Philip's asked her out for lunch.
Later that evening Brian gets an unexpected call from The Echo - they don't want their brand embroiled with Brian and the contamination of the Am, they disinvite him and tell him they'll be giving the award for to the Businessperson of the year to someone else.
