Alice rallies the troops, and Kirsty has second thoughts.

It's the morning of the partners meeting at Home Farm to discuss the contamination of the Am and Brian's involvement. Adam kicks things off by recanting to Ruth the chaos that ensues from Wednesday's public meeting he tells her that The Westbury Courier were at the village meeting and have written an article about Brian, 'Farmer goes up in flames', but Jennifer thinks he's exaggerating.

Alice defends Brian - we're all human, we all make mistakes, she'd hate it if something she knew nothing about came back to bite her in forty years' time, at least that's how she's it. But Adam points out that this is about criminal negligence and it's costing the farm a fortune. The family decide that although the poisons were dumped under Brian's tenure it was over forty years ago and they need to concentrate on the here and now, and stand together. Brian is relieved - with the family united he's sure he can weather this storm.

Kirsty is surprised to find Philip Moss fixing up the hide at Arkwright Lake. After they clashed at Wednesday's public meeting she's taken aback to find out that he's not being paid to fix it, he's doing it off his own back. Turns out he likes birds too and they hit it off.

At Home Farm Jennifer is in cooking over drive, determined that Lexi get all the right vitamins and nutrients. Brian points out that she's not yet pregnant but Jenny's quick to add that there's not harm in her getting into the habit of eating right.

Word of Alan's Lent appeal is spreading all you have to do is give up complaining and donate when you falter, fat chance of that says Brian.
