At Willow Farm Roy's upset to discover that Lexi's been researching the legal position of a surrogate in the UK. He still thinks Adam and Ian have been putting pressure on her. He wishes she'd just ring them now and say no. But Lexi wants to do more research first. She tries to discuss it with Roy, but he finds it all too overwhelming. He doesn't see the point if she wouldn't do it anyway. Lexi tactfully changes the subject.

Jill makes time to chat to Pip before going to a hairdresser's appointment. She suspects something is up, and wonders if Pip's going to take a job elsewhere. The news of the pregnancy is a shock, but she's excited about having her first great-grandchild. When she hears that Toby is the father she suddenly rushes out to her appointment. She discusses the situation with Peggy. She's warned Pip about Toby, and now he abandoned her with a child! Peggy points out that this seems to be what Pip wants. She remembers how shocked she was when Jennifer was pregnant with Adam. That turned out alright in the end, and the only thing they can do now is give Pip their full support. Back at Brookfield Jill reassures Pip that she'll do everything she can to help.
