Lilian tries to prevent a disaster, and Roy cannot help fearing the worst.

David and Ruth are happy to return to Brookfield after a wonderful holiday. David is irritated that Josh didn't come to collect them, but Ruth is more forgiving. He had a last-minute customer to see. But he definitely owes them dinner. They thank Pip for making them go. Pip wonders if she's done the right thing by not feeding the cows extra concentrates to exploit high milk prices. They're impressed, and David suggests that her granddad would have been proud.

Roy's still trying to decide what to do about the CCTV footage of Adam punching Matt. He can't believe Phoebe's uncle is capable of a deliberate hit and run. Lexi points out that neither Roy nor Adam has anything to worry about if Adam is innocent. But does that mean Roy should hand the footage to the police, or that he can safely keep quiet? He can't make up his mind.

At Grey Gables Lilian finds Matt researching flights to Ecuador. She does her best to make him see sense - he can't possibly fly. She tries to call Justin, but gets no reply. Determined to leave, Matt makes it as far as the lobby before collapsing. He begs Lilian to help him to his taxi, but she points out he's going nowhere.
