Roy wants to smooth things over, and Alice deploys her powers of persuasion.

Lexi's due at Willow Farm for her English conversation session with Kirsty. After reporting the graffiti to Adam, Roy thinks it's best he avoids her. Roy admits he likes Lexi and Kirsty teases him about being unable to say that he fancies her. Roy arrives home before Lexi has left, and they agree a truce. Roy clumsily asks her to the fete, but she has already made plans.

Alice tries to persuade Brian to be the MC at the fete. Brian asks why Kenton can't do it, and Alice is evasive. She compliments the clarity of her father's voice, but Brian has better things to do. When Alice suggests she can persuade Kate to cover his Speedwatch shifts next week he becomes more amenable. He will also meet the Duxford sisters, and there will be pictures in Borsetshire Life...

Lilian's upset about her row with Justin about the ownership of the Dower House. Justin sees the house as Matt's. She's spent the day trying to get in touch with the trustees without success. Jennifer can see Justin's point - you can't have secrets from someone you're going to marry, especially when Matt's got anything to do with it. Lilian doesn't blame Matt - this mistake was all her fault.
