Lynda strikes a deal, and Kirsty makes amends.
Kirsty offers an apology to Jill for her tirade against irresponsible farmers. Jill admires Kirsty's passion, although she doesn't always agree with her arguments. But their friendship is more important.
Lynda's filled with the joys of Florence but Kirsty wants to discuss the proposed pig unit. Lynda thinks the application is unlikely to be rejected outright. They should focus on environmental and welfare concerns. Lynda has already approached Brian and Justin but so far has heard nothing back. She quizzes Neil during their Speedwatch shift. Neil knows that animal welfare is already covered by strict legislation so, their focus should be on the environmental side.
Justin reports that while Latif also doesn't trust Matt, the consortium for which he works appears to be legitimate. Brian reckons he still wouldn't invest himself. Justin's caught speeding as he drives Brian home. However Lynda might be prepared to let it go this time, if they agree to a meeting.
Kirsty and Lynda quiz Brian and Justin about their piggery plans. The dairy unit at Berrow Farm was run without any thought for the environment. This time things must be different. Justin's confident that their demands can easily be met. Brian wonders if he has another motive for fostering good community relations. Justin couldn't possibly comment. Brian's sure they'll find out soon enough.
