Enjoy great choirs such as the Lisburn Ladies Harmony Choir, who are just back from Berlin, and meet choral director and soloist Brian Hunter following his great cathedral concert.
This week, Sing Out meets the Lisburn Harmony Ladies Choir to hear about their recent trip to Berlin
and enjoys some of the music that has rapidly made this one of the most popular choirs in the province. John Anderson takes the opportunity to talk to the choir members and find out what brings such a large number of ladies together to sing. As well as contributions from several of Northern Ireland's leading choirs, Sing Out this week features distinguished soloist and choral conductor Brian Hunter, who talks about a lifetime in choral music.
Sing Out was recently at Belfast Cathedral to record a special concert performed by Brian and three choirs - Melisma, The Priory Singers and the Cantate Domino Consort. Brian recently underwent major open-heart surgery and this hugely successful concert was to raise funds for the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit in the Royal Victoria Hospital. As Brian put it, it was a very appropriate way to say 'thank you!'.
