Neither Alistair nor Anisha can work out what's wrong with Bartleby. All his test results have come back fine. Joe grumbles about the lack of diagnosis. Meanwhile at the Stables, after needing Alistair help with Gem the pony, who made her own way into the field, Shula rings Eddie with an idea to perk up Bartleby.

Eddie worries about Kirsty's eagerness to visit the SSSI. He's not going to be able to hold her off for much longer. Clarrie chastises Eddie for letting the pigs onto the protected site. If Kirsty reports them to Natural England they could be in big trouble. Joe comes up with a plan to temporarily fence off the worst affected area until it grows back. Kirsty will see some nice meadow near to it and will be none the wiser.

At the races, Jolene gossips to Lilian about things not being great between Pip and Toby. Lilian opens up about settling into her new life with Justin. The only problem is Justin's divorce and the stress it's causing him. Matt appears and invites them to join him in the County Stand. Later, a bet of Lilian's loses out to Matt's recommendation and on cue he reappears. After he's gone, Jolene tells Lilian not to let Matt get to her.
