Everyone is celebrating at The Bull, and Rex fails to impress.

As the guests gather for Lilian and Justin's engagement celebration, Kenton teases Justin about the last speech Justin made in The Bull when Lilian turned down his marriage proposal. When Anisha arrives looking for Peggy to apologise for her comments about Bill, Justin goes with her as back-up. Anisha reports later that the encounter was a success.

Rex fishes for information about Pip. Kenton remarks that The Brookfield Archers' no show at the celebration indicates there's more going on there than just the IBR. Rex agrees. Kenton establishes that Toby's had no investor interest yet for his gin enterprise.

Matt turns up to congratulate the happy couple much to Lilian's displeasure. Justin declares the best man has won. Matt latches on to Anisha, talking business and equine studs, before he moves on to a dinner invitation. Anisha has the measure of him, and is about to close the conversation down when Rex intervenes and pulls her away on a thin excuse. Anisha assures Rex she doesn't need a bodyguard to protect her from the likes of Matt Crawford. Rex feels foolish.

Justin makes a heartfelt and generous speech about Lilian, but amidst the cheers he receives a text from Miranda. She's found out about the engagement. Justin reassures Lilian there's nothing Miranda can do to spoil their happiness.
