Harrison nervously welcomes everyone the Ambridge cricket team's first mixed nets. During the session, Johnny mentions to Harrison the unease amongst the men now their training with women. Harrison suggests they all go to The Bull afterwards for social bonding.

Later, in the pub Lily confides to Usha that it's hard to mix with the male cricketers. Usha thinks the men should be making more of an effort, and steps in to help. She gets everyone sitting together and suggests enthusiastically to Harrison that she might come to training herself. Slightly wrong footed, Harrison declares he'll look forward to it.

Justin's enjoying the feeling of not having to go back to London, and Miranda, tomorrow. Cautious Lilian thinks she might go back to Home Farm. She's worried the excitement will disappear from their relationship along with the sneaking around. Justin tries to reassure her, but she departs, promising to be back soon. She confides in Jennifer, who's delighted at the news that Justin's chosen her over Miranda. But Lilian's in a whirl. Being the mistress really worked for her. She's a bit scared they'll lose what they had. With Jennifer's encouragement however, she's forced to admit she really is incredibly lucky.
